SINGLE-GROUP, SINGLE-SEASON PERFORMANCE LICENCE

Purchasing group: the church or other group identified with the order.
Licensed for the 2026 holiday season.

1. YOUR GROUP'S PERMISSION
Your purchase gives the named group a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence
to rehearse and perform the purchased script during the licensed Christmas
season. The permission includes more than one performance by that
same group during that season.
2. REHEARSAL COPIES
You may print the copies your cast and production team need. You may share
the PDF privately with those people for this production. Keep electronic
copies in a private location; do not upload the script to a public website,
social media page, open shared drive or other public download location.
3. FLEXIBLE CASTING AND ADAPTATIONS
You may combine or divide lines and speaking parts, adjust names and pronouns,
shorten dialogue, and adapt staging to suit your group and performance space.
Keep the author's credit. Permission to
adapt your own production does not include selling or distributing an adapted
version of the script.
4. ONE GROUP, ONE SEASON
The permission covers the named group and the 2026 holiday season.
It does not extend to another church or group, a separate branch or campus,
or a later Christmas season. Those uses require their own licence or written
permission from Joel Newport.
You may retain your purchased file and rehearsal copies for your records.
Keeping a copy does not extend the performance permission to later seasons.
5. PUBLIC CREDIT
Use the following credit in your programme or other written production
information where provided, and in the description or accompanying post for
recordings, livestreams and online sharing:

Make the website address a clickable link where the platform supports links.
You may also include the credit at the beginning or end of a recording.
Keep the existing author credits and copyright notices on copies of the script.
6. WHAT IS INCLUDED
The purchase includes the script and this performance licence. It does not
include music recordings, backing tracks or sheet music.
7. RECORDING AND ONLINE USE
Filming, livestreaming and sharing recordings of your group's licensed
performance online are permitted and encouraged, with the attribution in
section 5. No additional script permission or script recording fee is required
for those uses. You may share the full performance or excerpts, and recordings
of a performance made during the licensed season may remain online afterwards.
This does not authorize a new live performance in a later season.
These permissions cover the script only. Your group is responsible for any
separate permissions needed for its recordings and participating
performers, including appropriate parent or guardian consent where relevant.
We welcome a link to your performance. Sharing or crediting it does not
automatically give My Christmas Pageant permission to copy, edit or reuse your
footage in our own marketing. Any such promotional reuse will be agreed
separately with your group, including the necessary permissions for the footage.
8. NO RESALE OR REDISTRIBUTION
Do not resell, sublicense, give away or publicly distribute the script, its
PDF file, printed copies or an adapted version. Private sharing with your own
cast and production team under section 2 is permitted.
Sharing a performance recording as permitted by section 7 is also allowed;
it does not permit distributing the script file or rehearsal copies.
9. LICENSED SEASON
Licensed for the 2026 holiday season. Retaining the PDF or a recording does
not grant permission for new performances in later holiday seasons.
10. RIGHTS NOT INCLUDED
Rights not expressly granted here are reserved by the relevant rights holders.
This licence does not remove any rights or exceptions that applicable law
provides independently.
